Soon to enter the world of freelance working I have had to shell out rather a lot on a new Macbook Pro to set me up for travelling and working. My iMac currently has the CS4 Adobe Creative Suite Applications and I have been reluctant to spend the money upgrading the software. But… then I discovered the new Adobe Creative Cloud Membership and it is brilliant! It gives you access to all the creative suite applications by way of a monthly subscription fee. Because I was a previously registered user of CS4 I got a 40% discount and now pay £27 a month.

I bought my new and beautiful little Macbook Pro at lunchtime on Wednesday and an hour later I had already downloaded and installed Dreamweaver, Photoshop, After Effects and Indesign. I will download everything else when I get a moment and put it onto my iMac too. Previously, paying for the discs would have been essential but a real struggle so I am really impressed by the new membership option. It means that I always have the latest applications to hand and the introductory offer seems pretty manageable to me at the moment. I would seriously recommend this to any freelancer or small business working with Adobe.
